Privacy Policy

Effective September 6, 2026

DEPTH is designed around local, user-directed organization. This policy describes the current development version of DEPTH and will be updated before public release if its data practices change.

Information DEPTH handles

DEPTH stores app preferences, layouts, album and carousel names, media references, provider links, and related state locally on your device. When you choose photos through Android’s system picker, DEPTH keeps permission to read the selected items so they can continue to appear in your albums.

DEPTH does not currently upload your private photos or videos to Planes to Software servers. If a selected local item is deleted, moved, or its permission is revoked, it may become unavailable inside DEPTH.

External media and artwork

When you add a supported streaming or media link, DEPTH may connect to that provider’s public web service to resolve the title, destination link, and artwork. Resolved artwork may be cached in DEPTH’s private app storage for performance. DEPTH does not ask for or store your streaming-service password as part of the current share and deep-link workflow.

Third-party services—including Prime Video, Netflix, Max, Disney+, YouTube, Spotify, and others supported by the installed build—operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Mentioning them does not imply a partnership or endorsement.

Android permissions

DEPTH uses internet access to retrieve supported external metadata and artwork and to open provider destinations. As an Android Home experience, it can display installed apps and host widgets. Widget placement is controlled through Android’s confirmation flow. Photo access is requested through the Android document picker only when you choose to add photos.

Analytics and diagnostics

The current build does not include an advertising SDK, analytics service, or third-party crash-reporting SDK. If analytics or crash reporting is added for beta or public release, this policy and the applicable Android and Google Play disclosures will be updated before that release.

Control and deletion

You can remove media references through DEPTH’s media-management tools. Clearing DEPTH’s app data or uninstalling DEPTH removes its locally stored settings and private artwork cache; it does not delete your original photos or videos from their source.

Children, security, and changes

DEPTH is not directed to children under 13. Planes to Software uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to the data the app handles, but no system is completely secure. Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a revised effective date.
